About
Katie fell in love with romance at a young age thanks to books she’d pilfered from her mom’s stash. Years later she loves reading romance almost as much as she loves writing it. However, she didn’t always know she wanted to be a writer. After switching colleges a couple times and changing majors too many times to count she finally graduated with a degree in psychology. Why psychology? People and motivation fascinate her.
She writes fast-paced romantic suspense with hot heroes and feisty heroines. Her paranormal heroes are just as hot, if sometimes a little more alpha. What can she say, they’re more in touch with their animal side. Regardless of genre, she always includes a happy ending. When she’s not creating stories she loves spending time with her husband, family and the eclectic group of animals they’ve adopted.

2007 – Charter Oak Romance Writers Golden Acorn Excellence in Writing Award – 3rd place in Contemporary Category. Placed with a manuscript titled Love in the Ancient City.
2008 – Placed 2nd in Inland Valley RWA’s Put Your Best Hook forward contest.
2008 – North Texas RWA Great Expectations Contest – 1st place in erotic romance category. Placed with Running From the Past.
2009 - 3rd place in Passionate Ink’s Passionate Plume contest in the contemporary category. Placed with Running From the Past.
2010 - His Secret Past placed 3rd in WISRWA’s Fabulous Five contest in the romantic suspense category.
2010 - Unleashed Temptation (written under my alter ego) placed 3rd in Romance Writers Ink More Than Magic contest in the novella category.
